Welcome to Woodyhyde Campsite

Welcome to Woodyhyde campsite, situated in the heart of the stunning Purbeck countryside. Set in 15 acres of beautiful open countryside, within an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are just 20 minutes walk to the stunning ruins of Corfe Castle and a short distance from the seaside town of Swanage. The location of our campsite makes it suitable for all types of holidays or weekends away. Bookings are now taken online and we offer our visitors the freedom to pitch wherever they prefer but we cannot reserve pitches. Dogs are welcome on our campsite in 2 of our fields. Woodyhyde is open from March until the end of October.

If you love camping but aren't keen on canvas or don't have a tent, our glamping options are the perfect solution! Just bring a BBQ and towel and enjoy staying in the shepherd hut or a yurt. With a comfy bed, duvet and lights, it's just like being at home!

We have recently been named, #1 favourite coastal campsite for families by Cool Camping in Coast Magazine.

About our Campsite

We are a family run camping business since 1998, having previously taken over from the tenant farmers after they retired. Our campsite is a traditional, relaxed, family orientated campsite with 160 unmarked pitches across 3 fields for camper vans, motorhomes and tents but we do not accept caravans. One field is bordered by the Swanage railway steam train, linking Corfe Castle and Swanage. We pride ourselves in providing first rate facilities; a modern shower block, a well stocked onsite shop and off licence offering a wide selection of fresh foods including local sourced produce. We also offer free WiFi for our campers!

There are foothpaths from the campsite leading directly to the Purbeck Hills and coastal paths to the outstanding Jurassic Coast. For a less strenuous day the beautiful award winning beaches of Swanage and Studland are close by.

The Isle of Purbeck is designated as a "World Heritage Site" for its Jurassic Coast, recognised as one of the worlds most geologically important places on the planet and is also rated as an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
